Deer Park Fire Alert!
On Sunday, March 17, 2019, chemical tanks owned by Intercontinental Terminals Company (ITC) in Deer Park caught fire, posing a potential public health risk to the health and safety of residents in Harris County and surrounding areas. Harris County Public Health (HCPH) is working with response partners to protect the health of the community. Based on health-related data reports from multiple sources, there continues to be a low health risk to the general population. 

HCPH strives to ensure your health, safety and well-being from potential health hazards resulting from the fire. The resources below provide information about specific chemicals burned in the Deer Park fire and  what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones.
