Harris County Public Health provides a variety of low-cost, clinical and preventive health services to meet your essential healthcare needs. General Wellness Services:

  • Physical exams
  • Immunizations for children and adults
  • Screening for diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension), and high cholesterol
  • Screening and treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
  • HIV screening, risk-reduction counseling, and care information
  • Screening for post partum depression
  • Cervical cancer screening
  • Clinical breast exams
  • Mammography referrals
  • Family planning services
  • Nutritional counseling

Family Planning Methods Offered:

  • Male and female condoms
  • Oral contraceptive pills
  • Depo-Provera Injections
  • Vaginal Hormonal Ring (NuvaRing)
  • Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives
    • Intrauterine Device (IUD)
    • Contraceptive implant (NEXPLANON®)
  • Pregnancy testing for non-eligible grant recipients
  • Spermicidal foam and jelly

Walk-ins are welcome. However, without an appointment, the patient may experience a prolonged wait time to be seen and evaluated. A few same-day appointments are available.

  • Monday - Friday:
    8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Clinic hours: 

Monday through Friday, appointments begin at 7:30 a.m.
On Saturdays, appointments begin at 8:30.

  • Monday and Wednesday: 
    7:15 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 
    7:15 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday:  
    7:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
    (Each clinic is closed one Friday per month - see below)
  • Saturday: 
    8:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
    (each clinic is open one Saturday per month - see below)

Fridays and Saturdays:

  • Baytown clinic hours:
    Closed Friday after the 2nd Saturday of the month
    Only open the 2nd Saturday of the month.
  • Humble clinic hours:
    Closed Friday after the 3rd Saturday of the month
    Only open the 3rd Saturday of the month
  • Southeast clinic hours:
    Closed Friday after the 4th Saturday of the month
    Only open the 4th Saturday of the month
